Indianapolis, IN There just something special about rolling into the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Carb Day, as thousands of people pack the plaza for a kickstart to a holiday weekend full of fun.

And some fans are already expressing their excitement.

“Not overreacting to too many things and just making methodical changes. Our race car hasn changed too much from last week so that a good sign,” says Alexander Rossi.

“Not bad. Just last checks of different set up items. Just keep it clean. Don do anything drastic,” says Will Power.

IndyCar spotter and Terre Haute native Dave Hunt says,”It like Christmas for most of us is the truth and it comes and goes so fast. When you leave here you don want any part of it anymore, but you can wait for the next year and it comes around quickly. I just love coming here. Everybody else is working really hard on the crew. A lot of hours for the love of the sport and hopefully a big reward at the end.”

Sunday winner is anyone guess, but until then expect America to be celebrated at one of the biggest parties on earth.

Pat McAfee is also getting in on the action, who says that “the Indy 500 is not only the greatest spectacle in racing, it the greatest party in racing. Everybody comes to town and has a great time. That what it all about.”
